18th Sunday after Pentecost

For some of us, “pain” and “brokenness” are sacred words.  They are words that we experience daily or in waves of grief, loneliness, or despair.  So what does it mean when Jesus wept at the tomb of his friend Lazarus?  How are words like brokenness and pain talked about in the Bible?  How do you talk about pain and brokenness in your own life?  Maybe you don’t have the words.  Ultimately, it is our hope and faith in Jesus that restores us and gives us the strength to take one step forward.
