Destruction and Peace

This week, Pastor Andrea Fluegel and Barb Zima discuss "the Song of the Unfruitful Vineyard" and "the Peaceful Kingdom" from the Book of the Prophet Isaiah. Isaiah passionately called God his beloved because God lived in delight with the humble. So then, asked the Prophet Isaiah, how could Israel/the people of God fail to respond to all of God's blessings? Why do the people of God in both Israel and Judah lack trust in the Lord? What does it mean that destruction is not God's final word? How are you like the vineyard? How does the Prophet Isaiah describe the Messianic Hope that is to come?

Scripture References: Isaiah 5:1-7, Isaiah 11:1-5

From Series: "Prophets"

During this series, we explore various Prophets of the Old Testament. What did they have to say about God's justice, love and mercy? How did they speak God's grace into the darkest of times? And how are we challenged by them today?
