Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday mean "new commandment." On this night, at the last supper Jesus was to share with his disciples, he gave them a new commandment to love one another. Tonight, we will hear the voices of six people who had front row seats to Jesus' life and death: Mary, friend of Jesus; Simon Peter; Judas; a Roman soldier; Mary the mother of Jesus; and Salome. In this interactive worship experience, you will need the following items: a bowl of water and a hand towel a dollop of oil candles (for each person or just one) comfort food and a drink (any type of food that you like or it could be a full breakfast or dinner meal) Note: There is no audio sermon for this worship experience so that we can focus on scripture, prayer, and music - helping us to be more reflective as we enter Holy Week.

Scripture References: Mark 14:12-51

From Series: "Holy Week"

Holy Week tells the story of the last week of Jesus' earthly life. It begins with the triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and concludes with the empty tomb and resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday.
