This week, Pastor Andrea Fluegel and Rachel Strong continue the discussion of the Apostle Paul's first letter to the Church in Cornith. Again, Paul encourages this congregation that they should be of the same purpose and that all people are equal. He tells them that anyone who says "Jesus is Lord" is a part of the community. In this chapter, Paul talks about the need for diversity of gifts given by the Holy Spirit. These gifts are not for the individual but for the whole of the community and for the common good. These variety of gifts, in Jesus' name, links us all together. What the gifts given to you by the Holy Spirit? How are you using these gifts today or are you denying or dismissing the gift instead?
A 7-week series on the Early Church and its struggles, conflicts, and joys. We learn about how the Holy Spirit was present among these first apostles (sent out ones) just as Jesus told them through the Book of Acts and the Apostle Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians.
