Beauty & Radical Compassion

This week, we begin a six-week series called, "Beguiled By Beauty," based on Wendy Farley's book of the same name. In this series, we will explore the beauty of God's created world as God sees it and how it leads us into a more contemplative, Christ-giving life. We will experience the Triune God through scripture, sermon, music, poetry, and visual pictures. As the Prophet Ezekiel says: the majestic, beautiful tree falls and destroys everything in its path, when the lack of care for others and not being nourished by life-giving water, makes its roots too swallow to withstand the storms of life. But we can stand in the hope of Christ, when we care for one another and as we are grounded in God’s radical love. This is where we begin our journey with Jesus and with others.
