Jeremiah: From Darkness to Hope
The Prophet Jeremiah lived during a dark time in the nation of Judah. His ministry began during the reign of King Josiah and he later lived to see the destruction of the Temple and the people exiled to Babylon. Jeremiah is known as the "weeping prophet" and yet his words tell of a messianic hope that is to come for God's people. He is also the author of the Book of Lamentations. This week, Pastor Andrea Fluegel and Barb Zima discuss Jeremiah, judgment and hope. What does this messianic hope that Jeremiah talks about mean to you? How is this scripture passage relevant for us today as we begin the season of Advent and expectantly await the birth of the Jesus?
