Worship Experience: Kept in Our Hearts

Pastor:
Passage: John 14:15-21, 1 Peter 3:13-16
Service Type:

Bible Text: John 14:15-21, 1 Peter 3:13-16 | Pastor: Andrea Fluegel | Series: Heart of the Matter | Pre-recorded for Sunday, May 17, 2020

In today’s scripture reading from the Gospel of John, Jesus knows that what lies ahead of the disciples and us, we cannot do on our own. So he sends the Holy Spirit to accompany us. Accompaniment is active and assertive. It is the indwelling of the Trinity that enters into places of fear, discomfort, uncertainty and troubled hearts. It is the place of change and growth.

For this interactive worship, you will need snacks or your favorite foods/meal, a candle for lighting (or a flashlight or cell phone), and a worry stone (any rock will work). You are welcome to draw or color a heart every time you hear the word heart or love in this worship experience. You will also need a glass filled to the brim with water and a bowl or plate to put it in.

A PDF version of the order of service (bulletin) and a downloadable audio version of the sermon are below. The bulletin includes the words to the hymns.

If you would like to support the mission of Prince of Peace so that we can continue worship, community outreach, and other ministries, you can give any amount by cash, check, online, through  the Give+ app by Vanco, or by sending a text to 833-394-7887 (text  your dollar amount and follow the prompts).  Thank you for your generosity.
