Worship Experience: No Trouble in My Heart
Bible Text: John 14:1-14, Psalm 31:1-5, Psalm 31:15-16 | Pastor: Andrea Fluegel | Series: Heart of the Matter
Pre-recorded for Sunday, May 10, 2020
What does it mean that Jesus says, "I will do whatever you ask in my name"? Does that mean that Jesus answers all of our prayers and gives us the outcome we have asked for? And what do words like "dwell" and "abide" actually look like in our lives? Today's scripture is about reassurance and hope. It is about not letting our hearts be troubled because Jesus is always present with us.
For this interactive worship, you will need snacks or your favorite foods/meal, a candle for lighting (or a flashlight or cell phone), and a worry stone (any rock will work). You are welcome to draw or color a heart every time you hear the word heart or love in this worship experience. You will also need a glass filled to the brim with water and a bowl or plate to put it in.
A PDF version of the order of service (bulletin) and a downloadable audio version of the sermon are below. The bulletin includes the words to the hymns.
