Worship Experience: Bearing Witness
Pre-recorded for Sunday, June 14, 2020
We begin a 6-week series on the Early Church and its struggles, conflicts, and joys. We learn about how the Holy Spirit was present among these first apostles (sent out ones) just as Jesus told them. In today's scripture reading Jesus commissions these apostles (and us) to bear witness to the Good News in both words and actions in their hometowns, in strange places, and unknown territory. The apostles realized that God's reign was more expansive and inclusive than they had thought.
A PDF version of the order of service (bulletin) and a downloadable audio version of the sermon are below. The bulletin includes the words to the hymns.
