Who Is My Neighbor

Who Is My Neighbor

Fifth week of a six-week series called Reversal and Restoration. We continue to explore how the promises of God are fulfilled in the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus through the lens of the Gospel of Luke. In this episode, we discuss the Parable of the Good Samaritan and the story of two sisters Mary and Martha. The phrase Good Samaritan has become a normal, everyday phrase in our society. The question that Jesus leaves us with is “who is my neighbor?” How do we define the word neighbor? Does it mean the person next door or down the block? Or does it mean something else? Why is loving neighbor so important to Jesus and his ministry? And what does this story have to do with the story of Mary and Martha?

Scripture References: Luke 10:25-42
