Identity in Resurrection

Identity in Resurrection

This week, Pastor Andrea Fluegel and Jack Palmer continue the discussion of the Apostle Paul's first letter to the Church in Corinth. Paul brings it all back to the cross and the resurrection. He says that if we don't believe in the resurrection, if the resurrection of Jesus did not happen, then all is in vain, worthless and useless. Our identity as disciples of Jesus comes from the historical fact that on the third day he rose again. From the very beginning of Christianity, the assembled people of God concluded that the death of Jesus was different than John the Baptist or other rabbis or prophets. Jesus was indeed raised from the dead and his death and resurrection brings atonement for all people. How do you profess your faith in Jesus Christ?

Scripture References: 1 Corinthians 15:1-26

From Series: "Early Church"

A 7-week series on the Early Church and its struggles, conflicts, and joys. We learn about how the Holy Spirit was present among these first apostles (sent out ones) just as Jesus told them through the Book of Acts and the Apostle Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians.
