Ruffians in the Marketplace

Ruffians in the Marketplace

Prince of Peace continues its study of the Early Church. This week, Pastor Andrea Fluegel and John Van Hise discuss the Apostle Paul's time in Thessalonica and what it means that the followers of Jesus we named "ruffians in the marketplace?" In today's cultural climate of divisiveness, how do we hear the story of Christians being called "ruffians in the marketplace?" If there is a subversive element in the Christian faith and a radical difference between the world as it is and the world as God wills it to be, then how are we claiming this message as followers of Jesus today?

Scripture References: Acts 17:1-9

From Series: "Early Church"

A 7-week series on the Early Church and its struggles, conflicts, and joys. We learn about how the Holy Spirit was present among these first apostles (sent out ones) just as Jesus told them through the Book of Acts and the Apostle Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians.
