COOKIES ANYONE? IF anyone is interested and if someone has a really good sugar cookie recipe, I have recently acquired a pretty cool cookie stamp set. One says, “He is Risen” the other says “He is Risen Indeed”. I thought it might be fun to make several batches of cookies in the upcoming week here at the church. Mon, Tue or Wed evening. We could bag them up in batches of two and people could take them as they leave church on Sunday. I know it is a late notice thing. If no one can do it – that’s okay. But if anyone does have a really good recipe for this type of cookie – I would greatly appreciate it. (Picture at the bottom)

NO BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS – no blood pressure checks on Easter.

NO COFFEE HOUR – no coffee hour on Easter. The general consensus was that people probably have plans, so we don’t want to hold anyone up from enjoying their Easter.

NOTE FROM ANN – The picture at the top is from a local page. I wish I had written down the photographers name. I’ll find it and let you know next week. The pictures below are of the cookie stamp that I referenced above.

I did not make it to Vegas to see Barry Manilow. He canceled 1.5 days after I purchased my plane tickets. Sigh. I was able to get a credit so not all is lost. It ended up being a good thing. This was a week I needed to be home.

I wasn’t in the office yesterday so I came in today to finish things up. I stopped at Eagle River Roasters (because I like supporting them because of how much they support us and the community). Picked up one my favorite lattes. Figured I needed a boost today. As I walked into the church – I dropped it. Of course it was a large. Thankfully I dropped it outside of the church instead of inside. Three pitchers of water later – pretty sure I diluted that latte to an acceptable level. I did find out though, that the bottom of the doors are not watertight. Good information to have in case of a heavy rain. So lets consider that a win.

[Burt was a rockstar and brought me another one.]

I do plan on making the above mentioned sugar cookies. I haven’t rolled out cookie dough since making cookies with my Mom decades ago. I am a bit nervous about finding the right recipe.

Looking forward to Holy Week. Or as my friend Julie says, “Holy Week Batman!”

May your week be filled with whoopsies that turn out for the better.
