NOTE FROM ANN: I had come across the latest bit making the rounds on social media about the word “ezer”. Immediately my brain went to “happily ezer after”.
And then – because I don’t trust social media – I started doing some digging of my own. “Ezer” in and of itself appears as a name within the Bible.
Ezer is the transliterated form of the Hebrew word usually translated as “help” or “helper” in the Bible. And with THAT usage is how it has become a hot topic on social media.
I found two different websites that do a MUCH better job of explaining the word than I ever could. The links are below. I found the information to be very interesting.
The picture itself at the top of the email is from an early morning walk down our driveway. I was walking Milo for his morning constitutional when I looked backwards and saw this amazing sight. I rushed the poor pup to do his business so that I could get back to the house and grab my phone. You couldn’t see this walking away from the house – you could only see it walking towards the house – towards the light. Draw whatever conclusions you would like.
Glad that heat wave is past – however, it absolutely cracks me up that we have had nights in the 40s – in July.
And can you even believe it is August already? How time has absolutely flown by this year. Here’s hoping you have been able to complete your summer projects for 2025. I’m still working on my list. I believe the end of September is an appropriate end date for a summer to-do list. I’ll report back and let you know how I did.
